Body weight exercises build fitness

Body weight exercises have been pronounced to have the optimum effect on fitness of our bodies. Body weight exercises do not need any other device like weight lifting equipment. There is no need to go to a gym in order to exercise. The backyards of our homes or any place with sufficient space to move about and with plenty of ventilation will suffice the purpose. Our bodies act as leverages and source of resistance in body weight exercises. The result is a stronger and a fitter body.

Body weight exercises are as simple as exercises like walking and jogging everyday for thirty minutes. A regular practice of these will show the difference in building stamina and in weight loss. There are warm-up body weight exercises that can be a workout for the ordinary person. They are ‘crab walking’ ‘bear walking’. In crab walking one walks on all fours with the face upwards. In bear walking one walks on fours with the face downwards. Then there are ‘crocodile walks’ in which the person crawls with the torso above the ground. There are other miscellaneous body weight exercises like the ‘neck nod’ which strengthens the neck; ‘Lunges’ that makes the lower back strong with a greater stamina.
